This years’ Advertising cohort have embraced the digital transformation and strategic thinking and that is becoming central to contemporary advertising. They have utilised new technology, not only in the display of their work, but also in the work itself. As advertising continues to morph into new formats, find its’ way onto emerging platforms, and target increasingly diverse audiences, it is the advertising creatives with sophisticated strategic insights that will succeed.
Live briefs, D&AD, Young Ones competition briefs, individually sourced client briefs and personal projects have inspired the vast array of creative work on display. Finished pieces include apps, animations, films, 3D renders, branding, print, idents and integrated campaigns. All of the work is built on a solid foundation of original ideas. This is the creative stimuli that the students have dared to use to drive the development of so many effective pieces of communication in so many formats. The future bodes well for these students in the creative industries as their practice illustrates that they are more than prepared to embrace it.
